When God Responds
(Nehemiah 2:1-10)
Week of February 4, 2018

Read Nehemiah 2:1-10. Ask the Lord to speak to you through the passage.

Consider the Faith Principles from the passage and pray about them.

Faith Principle #1
You must be willing to carry the burden until God answers.

Have you given up on waiting for the Lord to respond to your burden. Ask the Lord to help you to carry the burden for the broken walls in your life, your marriage, your family and the church.

Faith Principle #2
You must wait on God's initiative to answer your burden.

Do you have a tendency to run ahead of God and solving the burden on your own? Do you feel that God is not responding according to your timetable? Ask the Lord to help you to wait for his initiative in answering your burden.

Faith Principle #3
Faith makes specific requests about what must happen.

Do you speak of your burden in generalize terms when you pray? Ask the Lord to do specific things with regards to the broken walls in your life, your marriage, your family and the church.

Faith Principle #4
Faith understands that not everyone will be supportive.

Do you have a false concept in your mind that everyone will be happy with the resolution of your burden? Ask the Lord to help you to be realistic concerning the fact that not everyone will be supportive with healing the broken walls in your life, your marriage, your family and the church.
