Guarding Against Disaster
(Nehemiah 7:1-3)

Read Nehemiah 7:1-3. Ask the Lord to speak to you through the passage.

Consider the Faith Principles from the passage and pray about them.

Faith Principle #1
Faith resists the urge of compliancy.

As you see the walls rebuilt in your life, do you have the urge to take it easy? Ask the Lord to help you to remain on guard for the security of the walls and not be complacent.

Faith Principle #2
Faith must be marked by strong belief and a fear of God.

Is your life marked by a strong faith and a fear of God? Ask the Lord to strengthen your faith as your act upon your belief in the Lord with a fear of God.

Faith Principle #3
Faith remains diligent in maintaining the walls.

Walls must be continually maintained and guarded or they will once again fall into ruins. Ask the Lord to help you to remain diligent in guarding the walls in your life, your marriage, your family and the church.
